The Hike 2

Brothers and sisters, marching forth in the beauty of their Master's creation!

A game of volleyball at the Hall's (I didn't load the pictures in any particular order, sorry.)

Two pretty girls, Rachel and Rebecca.

I'll gladly claim this little man as my brother, John Daniel. :)

Resting and chatting and laughing... life with friends is simply wonderful. Praise the Lord!

Jenna the farm girl!

I like this picture a lot! I like those girls pretty well, too. :)

It's me! I do not remember that picture being taken, for some reason. I "stole" it from Renee though, so I guess she's responsible.

Isaac Hall, one of the greatest boys I know.

Lifting a big rock to throw into the creek.

Talent

'Tis Mabel!

Joel among the wildflowers.

On we hike...

Playing soccer at the Browns', where we broke for lunch.
(I think my brother looks especially handsome in this picture, but maybe I'm biased.) ;)

Sarah and Kayla

Carl and his stick.

Meg

In Newburg

Julia Pettijohn

The "weed-eaters" :)

Jumping-jacks in the road!

Justin and Nathan

Andrew!! He's another pretty amazing young fellow.

From Recent Quiet Times

"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You." (Isaiah 26:3)

"The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go to the heights." (Habakkuk 3:19)

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song." (Psalm 28:7)

"But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever; the purposes of His heart through all generations." (Psalm 33:11)

This was taken of the oldest set of girl cousins this Easter; we had a family gathering at Gogey's house in Rolla. (She is a wonderful hostess, and the house looked beautiful!)
The Lord was good to give me two such sweet cousins as these girls! Alyssa and Clara are my sisters in heart, and we will always be friends, no matter where Christ may lead our lives over the years.

"I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them." -Isaiah 42:16

Smile

I love all my animals, but this one makes me especially happy. She just has a way of brightening the day and making me smile. Holly doesn't know it yet, but she is going to be trained this summer! :) I didn't do the best job with her as a puppy, but now that I have more time on my hands, I'm going to work on making her into a more enjoyable pet for our whole family. She's a good girl... but she could use some discipline, for sure!
Try not to smile when you look at that happy little face. :)

The Surprise Pictures

We did a lot more talking and taking funny pictures than we did buying things on our shopping trip!

This is Becky...

... and this is Alida. They are two of my dearest friends. They are the ones who kidnapped me.

Renee, Me, and Alida along the trail where we went roller-blading.

She always makes me laugh. :)

Oohh... wow. It's always nice to have friends that make you feel comfortable enough to let the craziness surface. (No, I definitely did not buy the hat!)

Surprises

Hello All!
For those of you who have heard from me over the last couple of days, you know that I had been "kidnapped" by two amazing friends! This is just a quick note to say that I have been returned to my family, safe and sound and feeling very blessed. And also very tired... :)
The Lord is good, and has given me many amazing friendships over the years. I was thrilled to be able to spend two wonderful days with Becky and Alida in celebration of my turning eighteen. We did take some interesting pictures, and definitely made lots of great memories! I'll try to post some photos within the next few days so you all can share in the laughs. :D
Because of His great love,
Ashley
