Small Lads

This is Baby Johnny. He just got out of the hospital in St. Louis from having a bad case of croup and flu. I think he has given Mama and Daddy more gray hairs than two or three of the other kids combined!
God is faithful and loving, and we are so glad to have our little guy home again. :)


This is just a cute Norman Rockwell painting that I came across a few weeks ago. It's becoming one of my new favorites, especially because of the short fellow with the glove behind his back.

I think this so true to life! My brother, David, is always wanting to know how much he has grown, and frequently likes to show off his muscles.
David and John inform me every few days that they are growing hair on their legs and chest... they say it's just so light that you can't see it very well. :)

Little Men

So, I have decided to stick with the theme of little boys for a few more days.

I am enjoying it, especially because I have two "baby" brothers of my own (Josh seems like an older brother, so he doesn't really count.) who are rapidly growing in cuteness and personality. I don't want these years of their littleness to fly by without taking time to make memories and treasure their friendship!

Dreams... Lay them at the feet of the One Who is able to do immeasurably more than all you could ever ask or imagine.

I like this.

I hope I get to have a boy someday.

I would really be okay with more than one.

This is a verse that Daddy and I have been focusing on together recently. Even though we may struggle with trusting the Lord in walking the road or going around the next bend, His desire is for us to live every moment of each day abiding in His purpose. We are called a new creation, chosen, set apart in Christ! Life takes on a whole different outlook when you dwell on the incredible knowledge of all that you truly are in Him!
