from Evening Quiet Time

" The Almighty Who knows our end from our beginning is in control... He desires to use our present situation to conform us into the image of Yahshua."
~Shanna Fournier

"Test me, O Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind." ~Psalm 26:2

Let my all - body, heart, mind, and soul - be for His glory.

"As ye therefore received Christ Jesus as Lord, so walk ye in Him." ~Colossians 2:6

May I learn to have Him be my All in All... every breath unto His name.

"He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him." ~Psalm 18:30

He is to be the Keeper of my heart, the Lover of my soul. Daily He guides and teaches, with the tender moving of His Spirit.

For great is Your love, higher than the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

With God we will gain the victory..." ~Psalm 108:4,13a

Lord, let me be at rest, waiting still and quiet, so as to hear... lead me on!

Ready for a New Production?!

This was Megan and Tess toward the close of last season's Fine Linen production of The Pirates of Penzance. It was so sad, but all good things must come to an end sometime. *sigh*
But it is not done for good! We have two new Fine Linen productions coming up ~ one already much in progress, which we will soon advertise, and the other... well... I will make you wait for news of the other.
So anyway, for now, enjoy looking back over the last few years. These are the F.L. productions that my family has been involved in!

Last season, we did some scenes from Annie, and the kids were just perfect!!

"... and we wish we could do Annie in the fall!"

This was one of my favorite scenes, when we girls all got captured by the pirates! Everyone was so great to work with... they became our "theatre family".

Two years ago we did The Prince and the Pauper, which was a smashing success!
(Sorry I couldn't dig up more pictures for this one... we really need to sort our picture files on this computer!)

I was backstage help as well as "Nanny" to the little Nisbetts. That was great fun, and I really miss my theatre playmates! :)

The cast of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown... three years ago!

LtoR: Janessa, Me(!), Adam, Josh, Nathan, Joel, and Elise

Charlie Brown multiple cast, same year. The younger kids did a great job, and were very fun to watch, on and off stage!

From an Evening Quiet Time

"Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, 'The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.' The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young."
~Lamentations 3:21-27~

Morning Thoughts

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will cousel you and watch over you... the Lord's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in Him. Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart."
~ Psalm 32:8,10b,11 ~

A New Day

This is yet another one of my favorites by Norman Rockwell. I love how the dog is watching so intently. Be sure to smile and have fun today...

... "This is the day the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it!"

Camp David Staff Retreat!

For anyone interested in helping out at Camp David of the Ozarks next summer, I wanted to let you know that there is a retreat planned for the 18th-20th of this month. If you would like to give of your time to help children in need, serving at CDO would be a great place to be... and they're already looking for new recruits for next year! :) So, if you think you're interested and would like to attend the retreat, feel free to leave me a comment, and I'll get back to you with more info.
Also, would anyone like to see more camp pictures?? I have access to tons of great ones (that have not been posted on either of our blogs yet!), and would be more than happy to do a "Camp David Scrapbook, '09" on here for ya'all. :) Just comment and let me know...
In Him,
