Proverbs 2:1-6, “My child, listen to Me and treasure My instructions. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight and understanding. Search for them as you would for lost money or hidden treasure. Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the LORD grants wisdom! From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. “(NLT)"
I usually read out of the New International Version, but these verses really struck my heart today when I read them from the New Living Translation. I especially love the part about crying out for insight and understanding!
"O Lord, we need you in all we do - may our hearts be filled more and more each passing moment with your guiding Spirit. Train us to be still and listen for the whisper of your voice... let us heed the admonition and love of your Word in the depths of our hearts."
