"Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. For your Maker is your husband - the Lord Almighty is His name - the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth. The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit... 'with deep compassion I will bring you back... with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,' says the Lord your Redeemer."
~Isaiah 54:2, 4-8 (parts)
I don't feel the need to elaborate with details, but the courtship between David and me has been broken off. I am hurting a lot right now, but the Lord is near, and I have such a peace that He is in control of my life. Nothing takes Him by surprise; He knows my end from my beginning! And His love never fails.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find me when you seek Me with all your heart."
